London Health Clubs
We’ve successfully enrolled in two separate health clubs, by the following machinations. Mike took me to his beloved health club from two years ago, which he had switched to after having his tuchas nearly frozen off by the cold waters in the pool and the cold air in the changing room of the Cannon Health Club, from which he canceled membership within the aptly named “cooling off period.” I did notice the first day at Living Well Health Club that the pool seemed tiny, but if Mike liked it, then fine. And the schedule of yoga and Pilates classes seemed ample. We got a great deal, by London standards, at a couple’s discount. Then, next day, Mike went to swim and found the pool suffocatingly warm! So he went back to Cannon and tested their pool, which this year was “just right.” And he found that by going at non-peak hours (the health club equivalent of the senior early bird special), he could get an even better deal than at Living Well. Living Well graciously allowed Mike to cancel and me to keep my couple’s rate, and I have happily attended Soft Yoga and Body Conditioning, while Mike swam at perfect temp at Cannon’s.
